The 2026 Dakar Classic has come to an end, and the results speak for themselves. The Podróże 4x4 Rally Team, navigating their Toyota Land Cruiser 80 through the vast wilderness of Saudi Arabia, has secured a phenomenal 6th place in the General Classification and 4th place in the H2 Class.

At Saber Offroad, we believe that trust is earned in the field, not in the warehouse. That’s why we recently packed our bags, prepped our rigs, and headed north—far north—to the frozen wilderness of Sweden.

We spent last weekend in Hungary attending a special event hosted by our valued partner, Murczin Offroad Technics. This was not a public festival, but an exclusive industry gathering in Tata for key, invited guests from the off-road world. As Saber Offroad, we were proud to support this initiative.

Soft-eye winch ropes might look clean and simple, but for most 4WD owners, they’re a weak link waiting to happen. Without a reinforced bend radius, soft eyes can crush, pinch, and wear faster under load — reducing strength right where you need it most. This article breaks down why bend radius matters, how thimbles and rope spools protect your rope, and why upgrading to a Saber Rope Spool is the smart move for safer, longer-lasting recoveries.

Saber Offroad offers their 10mm winch rope in two constructions – a high-strength single braid and a rugged double braid – both made from the proprietary SaberPro fiber. In this comparison, we look at how these ropes stack up in initial breaking strength, resistance to abrasion and UV exposure, long-term durability, cost, and practical use. Learn why the single-braided rope boasts higher strength out of the box, while the double-braided version may emerge as the tougher choice over time thanks to its protective outer sheath and superior durability.

When your 4WD gets bogged in mud or sand, a kinetic recovery rope is the smoothest, safest way to get moving again. Unlike traditional straps, a kinetic rope stretches up to 30%, using stored momentum to gently pull your vehicle free. The key is matching the right rope to your rig’s weight. Use the simple rule: choose a rope with a breaking strength 2–3× your vehicle’s GVM. Too weak and it may fail; too strong and it won’t stretch properly.

Not all recovery rings are created equal. The Saber Offroad Ezy-Glide Recovery Ring was engineered from the ground up — not rebadged — to deliver the perfect bend radius for 10–12 mm synthetic winch ropes and soft shackles. Its larger diameter and thick cross-section aren’t about size for size’s sake — they’re about physics, rope longevity, and real-world performance. Discover why bigger really is better when it’s built the right way.

Discover how to safely and effectively perform a 2:1 winch recovery using the Saber Ring and soft recovery gear. Off-road instructor Jon Hertov explains why this method reduces stress on your winch and rope, extends equipment life, and improves trail safety by eliminating dangerous metal components. Learn why Saber's fully closed recovery system, soft shackles, and bridles deliver superior safety, durability, and confidence when tackling steep, muddy, or heavy recoveries.

We are still buzzing with energy after returning from Abenteuer & Allrad in Bad Kissingen! As one of the premier events in the off-road calendar, we knew we couldn’t miss the chance to bring the Saber Offroad brand to the "World’s Largest Cross-Country-Expo. For us, participating in this event was about more than just showcasing our latest recovery gear and solutions. It was about connecting with the heart of the 4x4 community.
